My FH and Parrot (pics) & question

I had Charlie (BP) since he was a fry and I just got my FH (Bud) a little over a week ago. I ordered him online. They don't have ANY FH in my area. Anyway, I love these fish to peaces. My FH has settled in really well and eats like a pig. So does Charlie. If the FH starts to get to aggressive for Charlie I have the money saved up for a 120 gallon for Bud. So I have a back up plan. Does anyone know when FH's really start to colour up?

Age 2 to 5 months - ( 30 mm - 150 mm)
Colors and body patterns are becoming more distinctive.


Age 5 months and above (150 mm - 600 mm)
Flowerhorns begin to mature. Distinctive and rather prominent head humps are visible on the male fish.

Thanks jbut. I know a lot of people hate BP but I love mine. He is just so happy and playful, i really like him.

My FH was $20.

Can you explain the different types of FH's for me if it's not too much trouble.

Many different strains of Flowerhorns, Kamfa is a Blood Parrot to Flowerhorn any flowerhorn. Bonzai and Short Body are obviously short or dwarf like flowerhorns. So many strains of flowerhorns, a site i use is flowerhorncraze. I am Mistahkay on Flowerhorn Craze

My male Fh is 8 months old and just starting to color up nicely, also has a nice lil kok growing.. Here are a few pics of my baby male flowerhorn,and some new Thai pearls I just bought 2 weeks ago. They are all approx 6-8 months old.

If you want to get the most colour and pearl outta your FH, your gonna have to ditch black backgrounds, dark substrate and adopt a more bright and colourful environment for the FH to mimick!!!! HTH

really? they looks like 4 to 5 months old to me... by the way, you have super nice FH
