Oh and a question do you turn off aquarium lights at night?
Ps Theres no "h" in Zou :P

lols. Yeah I do turn off the light at night... cause the tank is in my room and I can't sleep with it on.... but the thing is my FH never did this EVER... soo this is really tripping me out.... ;\
also thanks for the spell check :p

What size tank, how long has it been up, how long you had fish, and hows the water?
If none of that gives you a possible answer then I dono. Fish have personalities, my midas flips out when I turn the lights on, fish act weird sometimes. If it worsens, or he starts to lose a lot of color or sit in one place for a while then you may be in trouble, but Id just test the water, think, wait n see

Let the fish rest, let the fish adjust itself again and settle down. Just do your normal water maintenance and feeding. Don't worry about it too much. And as I have said again, warm water temp can help them feel for comfortable. Try to bump or keep your water around 83-86 degrees.

Cichlids change colour with their moods. When they go light they aqe stressed for some reason but should go back to normal. What you can do (this is what I do in the morning) is turn all the lights on in my house first, then I turn the tank lights on. This helps them adjust to the lighting better. They sleep so it's like when you get up and turn your lights on, you kind of squint.

Check on his other thread, his fish is experiencing stress before this. Definitely not the lighting IMO.
