My FH may not make it, looking for advice.

Hi guys, so came back from a 3 week holiday to my fish in not so good of shape.

I had the housesitter feed him only 5-10 pellets every week to keep the water quality from going down as the housesitter could not do a water change (its complicated to do so in my situation)

I suspect its some sort of swim bladder infection. I've been forcing epson salt solution down his gob, lowered the water level to 30% (to reduce water pressure) & blacked out the tank with a black sheet over it for the past 2 days, doesnt seem like it's helped.

I noticed on the base of his fins are red as well as just on the inside of his mouth, perhaps from struggling to keep upright?

Water params unknown as i've lost the test kit.. its been an established tank for a year and virtually untouched for the past 6 months. If you think it'll be helpful i'll grab a new one.
Flowerhorn is 2 and a half years old if that helps.

Reduce the water lvl to his back and block him straight up with a cleaned glass bottle, more D/O as much as possible, No more chemicals, make sure No chlorine.

The rest is up to the fish.

Don't wanna let hope hurts you. I gotta say that if the fish's upside down, they are lessly like to make it through.

What do you mean by D/O? you think my diagnosis of some sort of swim bladder issue is correct?

Thanks mate. He has survived a house fire so i'd like to say he's been through worse but its not looking good.

D issolved O xygen. I don't diagnosis another symptoms yet if the fish is not up on the right way.

But by nature there's no chemicals added.

For human house fire is supreme disaster, as well as a lot of chlorine leak it to the fish tank for the fish.

No offense taken mate..

My FH seems a bit less lethargic today. Noticed a fair amount of white stringy poo? Leads me to believe something internally is going on. Im going to continue administrating epson salt solution forcibly and hope for the best.

Hoping anyone has anything to suggest, would be sad to see old mate pass away...

White stringy poo can be anything...not eating, for example.

Red at the base of the fins means it could be a bacterial infection. Find a vet.
