My FH progress

So i got this guy about.......9 - 10 months.

Here's his progress

When I first got him:



He didnt seem happy been in the community tank so i moved out 3 - 4 months:






I tried putting him into my display tank for 2 months but he didnt like it again....






Back out to his own tank for 4 months:







Now his in my own private tank in my room for a month:

They seem to display better in a tank of their own.

From the looks of the pics i'm sure he is much more red/yellow in person.

Thanks fort the comment, yes looks much much better in person, even with a tank with a partition they don't show as much colour as a tank on their own. I will never understand these fishes, i wanted this guy to be in my display tank but his kok and colour dropped every time i put him in there so i guess his in my room sleeping next to me at night now lol.

Man that is an amazing flowerhorn, what i think is flowerhorns, do WAY WAY better in a tank without any substrate, most FH's i see with brilliant color, have no substrate.... just drift wood, some shelter, no substrate...and easier to clean also?

Yes i think the clear bottom is much better for Flower horns, personally the back ground colour, light & water condition will determine the colour of the FH.
