ok so the other day i did a 50 water change and i had to take my fh out of the tank because he thinks my fingers are food. i put him in a 3 gallon long bucket for like the 20 minutes it took me to do the tank, just as i was about to put him back he jumped out. so i caught him flapping across my living room and put him back in the bucket to rinse him off then back in the tank. and since that day he wont stop attacking the sides of his tank and slamming his head on the lid of the tank. what the hell is he doing? did i cause brain dammege? lol he has always been mean now he is just plain an ass. whats wrong with my fish!?!?

might have something that was on the ground irritating him... just a thought... do a good inspection

I don't know whats wrong with him... but you should get one of those longer siphons to do a WC, that way your hands and fingers won't need to be underwater and wont have to become a snack to your FH.

never remove fish from a tank to clean the tank

How big is the tank? Oftentimes when they are glassbanging and they aren't breeding or looking in a mirror its because the tank is too small.

A six incher should probably have a 55 gallon by itself. That should be alright until its about a foot, then you will be needing a 75 at least. If you keep a fish contained in an environment that it thinks is too small it will keep bashing the sides and top of the tank. Its just trying to get out probably.

he is on his way to a 20G after i make positive that my bichirs are fine in there new 50G tank

for got to up date he has since quite fighting to get out and is now happy and not fighting still trys too bite my wifes fingers.
