My filter is foamy!

I modified my diy bio-waterfall again and now it produces some foam. The inside of it has seachem pond matrix with power heads sucking water through the pile of matrix while the water coming in goes through a sponge filter and is pulled through and goes across the pond matrix. It's like I have a skimmer in my filter.

Is this a good thing? It's doesn't seem to stress out my fish either.

That's really cool. I get foam in my 55g where the bubbles hang out in the downspout of my HOB filter in a nylon bag. I figure it's some sort of fractionation.

Its like a scrubbiung bubbles commercial, I even had to net out the foam twice today.
