my fire eel and eating

around july i got a fire eel sweet eel so much fun. i know hes been eating beacause he hasnt died yet. but ive never seen him eat granted i know he would be eating alot at night. what kind of foods does your eels eat what kind of temperments do they have?

Well, to start a fire eel eating most of the time, you'd need to offer meaty foods.Krill, market shrimp, earthworms, mealworms.

If it comes to it, then try feeders.

EARTHWORMS WILL WORK THE BEST, IF HE IS REAL SMALL MIGHT TRY SOME BLOODWORMS.

We'll if hes not really skinny hes been eating then could go a month with out eating

I would try blood worms or earth worms

hes abiout 14in or so he seems healthly just looking for some addtional ideas gunna try the earth worms i throw beef heart brine shimp and krill in the tank every other day for the knifes and sens so im guessing hes finding it just would love to see him eat mentally comforting lol you know

i have two tiretracks and they go crazy for earthworms!!!!! one of the 2 will down like 5 of them back to back.....slurpimg like noodles!!!!mmmmmmm

I have a zebra, a yellow head and a mexican dragon eel. They all love market shrimp the best and snub their noses at krill. Stuck up eels. But they are growing, the zebra is about 3' now! And the dragon is 2.5' and the yellow head 2'. Do these things ever stop growing?

Mine loves market shrimp. He goes crazy over feeders as well. Mine is tame enough to be handfed and sometimes he goes for my fingers thinking it's food >.<"
