My Fire Eel May Have Ich

What is the best treatment for ich on a fire eel? It seems to have white spots on its face. All other fish in tank seem fine. Any thoughts? I'm afraid to put medication in the tank because I'm afraid it may affect the other fish.

If you are afraid to medicate I would slowly bump the temp. Ich dies at around 85 degrees F

I set up a quarantine tank and put a lower dosage of medication in there. I will keep my fingers crossed and see what happens.

Tomorrow I will creep up the temp too. Thanks for the advice.

If you set up a different tank just use Rid Ich. works great. You probably already did/know this but make sure the Quarantine tank you set up is with a cycled filter and or air sponge with clean water can't tell you how many times I've heard people just throwing a new filter and new water and kill the fish that way!

Never hurts to spell it out for people. I did use the water from my other tank so the temp was consistant and also put some filter media in from them as well. Sometimes people are insulted when someone states what they think is the obvious, but it doesn't hurt any for those who don't know.
