My Fire eel

Guys here are some pics of my new fire eel. Sorry the pics are really bad, he is very active which is rare in new fire eels. At least you guys know his size from the pics. 3-5''. I think I seen him eat bloodworms, didn't eat shrimp,will try live earthworms tonight.

Grats, nice fire eel.

If you've got him eating frozen bloodworms, DON'T give him earth worms. Getting him back off live food will prove to be a huge task if you do.

Hey thanks... Just saw him eating for the first time... he was not eating bloodworms.. So I threw in a few pieces of worms and they were gone..

very cool eel.

mine too eat live or whatever i give them. trust me, if they wont eat something that you want them to eat. i day or two of hunger will quickly get them to eat what you want them to eat.

again, cool eel. he will be a conversation piece when people come to visit you.

My old 16" Fire eel would only eat night crawlers. It was very annoying. But I really miss that guy. I'm actually thinking about redoing my tanks so I can house one again.
