My firemouth cichlids

Some pics of one of my firemouth cichlids. This the only one I could get a hold of. Still learning how to photograph these guys so excuse the quality please. These is what I descided to put in my 29.

nice!-could it possibly be hybrid? my firemouth doesnt have all that blue, and has more of a red underbelly..

its a beautiful fish!

They are still pretty small like1.5-2in. They do have red on thier throats but I have noticed they have alot of blue spangles and a reddish hue over thier dorsal and pectoral fins. When I baught them they were pretty grey so they have really colored up. Whatever they are they are going to look great as adults.

they would colour up more with more with a dark backround,gravel ect...

could it possibly be a thorichthys aureus blue? Jeff rapps sells them..

I got them from petsmart labeled "firemouth cichlids". They do have a black backround and they have dark grey rocks for decor and driftwood. Thier colors look really good It's probably just the picture.
