I'm not even sure exactly what kind of plants these are but I think it looks decent. The light I have is a Rep Med Ocean Sun. I've been told it will work but I have no idea if it really will. What am I going to need to do to make/keep these plants healthy? The only fish in there are one african brown knife, one small pleco, one clown loach and one really tiny bichir. Thanks for any advice.

The tank looks nice and simple! I like the natural feel even though there's equipment everywhere(huge sponge there hahaha). You definitely need to know which plants you have. Some plants need certain requirements like lighting and substrate. The level of lighting is important as well, some high lights can destroy low light plants. It looks like you have flourite there so I think that should be fine for substrate. How thick? I believe you need at least 3" on there but the tank is pretty small so it might work out.

Aside from lighting and substrate, all plants definitely need fertilizer. If you don't have any liquid fertilizers, get some to give the plants the macro and micro nutrients they need. Another thing that helps but isn't necessary is CO2. Buying a kit from a store can be expensive so I suggest looking up some DIY(do it yourself) CO2 for your tank; they're easy to do and super cheap!

The timing of your lights when they turn on and off is important as well; it's better if it's always the same. I recommend the lights being on 8-12 hours a day.

I'm sure you know this, but just in case, you are going to have to upgrade that tank eventually as your fish all get far too large for it...

They're pretty small fish so they should be good for quite a while. That's a 30g and it's my smallest tank. From there I have tanks all the way up to 360g so I'm all set. :D

Although the tank is nicely done, the clown loach is not going to be happy being kept alone. They are much better kept in groups.

Thanks. I'll try to pick up some friends for him when I can. I hit the two lfss near my town and could only find the one. I'm going to go to a different place tommorrow so I'll check there. What else do they like being kept with besides other clown loaches? Never kept loaches before.

Got some more loaches today and a product called Leaf Zone from API. Is that going to work?

Although I cant see your picture, I find that all the flourish products are really great for plants. Just be careful with Excel if you do choose to buy some, it'll melt some plants.
