Well after a couple of months getting my 180 set up I finally got some bass. I wanted to make sure I was cycled good and everything worked as it should with no problems before I put in the fish.
My 180 has a fx5, 2 maineland 350 HOB, a 1100 gph pump going into a ocean clear 325. Coming out of the ocean clear I split, 1 line to inline 300w heater then to a outlet in the tank. Line 2 gets turned down to go thru emperor aquatics uv then thru a inline 300w heater. Finally out thru a spray bar.
2 koralia's for some flow acrossed the bottom. I think Im golden with filtration and water movement
The fish story is I contacted a member and asked if they had some pbass at his lfs. He gave me a contact of another member who was trying to offload some. Met with him to get 4, he had 7. 2 of the guys had a messed up eye so he told me take all 7 for 100 bucks. These guys are 4-5 inches and Im already atached even not being 24hrs yet.
They are eating live but I have some stuff to convert. They seem happy and adapted pretty quick. Im keeping the temp at 84. Sorry for the long post but Im pretty pumped Ive been patient waiting for everything to be ready.
Will post some more pics of full tank and more fish later.
