Today I finally received my ornate and delhezi. They are my first bichirs I have owned. Also got lucky and they survived. For some reason they didn't make the two day delivery so they had to spend Sunday in a bag making it about 96 hours.

Well here are a few pictures. Sorry the tank is a mess and all photos were done on my phone.

In a bucket I dumped prime in the bucket then them and their water cuz both bags are leaking and didn't wanna drag the water into the house.

Looking good :)

Please seriously consider moving the Pleco out of that tank as they invariably end up sucking on the bichir. There is a thread about this already. You can search MFK for more info.

Good luck

I think I may have read the post. I tried to read as much as possible on them. I seemed to get from other threads that there is a good chance of it, but some members have had luck with plecos and bichirs.

I have been watching closley. I have two other tanks so the first time I see it sucking a bichir it will be moved.

Make sure you have a tight lid on and cover all the openings...my Ornate and Sen made a jump but didnt make it like Willy :(

Nice looking bichirs. Welcome to the addiction. :)

Thanks. I really am enjoying watching them swim, eat, and rough house with my synodontis cats. But addiction I hope not at at moment. The boss may not be to happy about that and I may have to give up an old addiction for a new one.
