Dont go with MDF! go With regular ply-wood, or better yet, marine grade ply-wood. once that MDF gets wet, your done.

i was thinking 18mm mdf or 5mm plywood liner with the mdf but i thought that if the mdf was sealed then it would be cheaper and have more strenght
like i said frst project so i need to lern here as im dead man if this gose rong in my livingroom lol

I know not everyone has access to the equipment needed, but I do and my plan has always been to weld most of the bearing members together out of angle iron. A Saturday afternoon with my MIG welder and never a worry about bowing, flexing, or all out failure. For the skin I would still go with plywood, or better yet marine plywood as noted above. If your budget is limited but you can afford SOME marine ply, use it in all the visible spots because it is normally sheathed in mahogany and will look nice.

MDF is not as strong as plywood, especially in an application where water is involved. MDF is heavier and cheaper but definitely not stronger. I would also suggest using plywood.

Other than the MDF issue and no included dimensions you seem to have a sturdy design. I would suggest figuring out your filter for the tank before finalizing the plans and beginning construction. How about an integrated sump?

plywood would be a lot better in my opinion i just thought mdf because of the price but whats money between a paddling pool in the living room and quality looking tank lol
