This is my first dslr. I dont really know much about how to use it, so I'm learning as I go. Here are a few pics of some of my fish. First pics are of my dovii pair. I caught my jags spawning again. I think I need a speedlight to get some better photos, what do the pros think? Also have wild festae and mota's..more pics to come..

Try to get your hands on the 50mm 1.8 (or 1.4 if nikon) lens, theyre great for low light tank shots without needing flash, also go with an overhead flash if you want that cool blacked out look and it doesnt show the dirt on the glass.

I see you're a Parachromis fan too? Gorgeous fish! Do have them all in the same tank, or separate tanks?

Nice classic cichlids! Love those doviis!

They are all in seperate tanks. the jags are in a 100g plywood tank, dovii are a 150g, and the motas are in a 20 gallon.

I have a nikon d3000. Supposedly it replaces the d60. I bought it to even see if i like using dslr cameras. So far i love it. Dont know how to utilize it fully. Oh and im really lazy about cleaning the glass lol, I've got 14 tanks so i get to it when i can...

Nice.
