my first eel

Nice Eel.
I had one a very long time ago when I was a turbo-noob to fish. It died a week later.
Really cool eels though.

feed him whatever you feed your other fish, lol

when they're small they do good on flakes and small sinking pellets, when bigger..market shrimp, larger sinking pellets..the occasional minnow..

you'll probably never see him with the sand in there, lol

max size seems right
was hoping they got bigger. :irked:
i think i might fatten him up and see if he would be ok with my bichirs.

i dont see spines to be a spiny eel.lol

i got a peacock eel thats supposed to max at 14" but ive seen bigger. clean water, good diet should make it bigger. mine hides in the rocks all day. doesnt really play in the sand like i figured it would

Havnt had much luck with eels. Had one that used to sit up on the filter in the current. Took him bout 2 weeks to jump out of the tank and die. The other two I bout didnt last long either. Hope you have better luck. Eels are a interesting addition to a tank.
