My first Festae eggs

I went to do the normal weekend water change yesterday and my little 5" female bit the sh*t out of my hand. She's never bit me before so I got really excited. Upon closer inspection I found the eggs on the side of a log. Being their first batch, I guess I don't expect them to make it. Does it normally take Festae a few times or are they naturally good parents?

Thanks you guys, I appreciate it. And quattroatl, 3rd time huh? Did they take long in between batches? Thanks, I love my female...she's awesome. The male is really different looking in his breeding colors..very dark and his stripes are black a lot of the time. Look at his dorsal fin. I'm loving it.

My pair will spawn every 45 days if I let them. Raising up growouts is a lot of work and determination. I just don't have time for it. I raised up 2 batches since last summer. I am down to 11 growouts now.
