my first flowerhorn, anyone know what it could be a cross of?

here is a picture of my $4.99 cent flowerhorn, its approx 4-5" long,the pet store owner had 3-4 more of them but they were no where near as colorful as this one, and didnt really have anything more than a small hint of red.

i have no idea if its a male or female, and honestly i dont know if any fish in my tank are males except for my male black convict.

It may not even be a cichlid. It's a shapeshifter of some sort. It changed to look like a jd in the last pic. Better watch this guy.

my guess is as good as anyone's but i do think its a male.

i hope your right, i think all my salvani are female, but not sure on them either, but i think it would cross well since my salvani are bright yellow 90% of the time.

it's very hard to back track any flowerhorns nowadays. clearly i do see some trimac in it
