My brother is buying this guy for my birthday, awesome gift if you ask me lol. The guy said its a Super red dragon, 4+ inches. What do you guys think? Looks like a decent sized kok for such a small fish. This will be my first venture into hybrids.

We went and picked the lil guy up. He has some awesome colors, hopefully the reds come out more on his head. The guy told me the parents had very vivid reds and the father had a huge kok. This guy was the pick of the litter, supposedly the best looking of all the fry. He's nice and thick, seems to be very healthy. Already smashing pellets.
He's around 5-5.5 inches, a little bigger than the guy said. How big do these flowerhorn usually get length wise? I know they are a stocky fish

I'd prepare for around 12" other than that I think the red should pop more as the fish gets more comfortable with its new setting.
Nice, thanks for the info. I can't wait to see him at 12". He's gonna be a beast. Do these guys grow pretty quick? I figure they must. The guy we bought it from said its only 4 months old. Paid $25 for it. He needed it gone quick so he could move some true red terrors to the tank. The rt were terrorizing his fancy plecos,
