Today when i just got home from work the first thing i notice in my tank was one of my datnoid floating dead. I couldnt believe it died. My first and biggest datnoid i had died. The weird part is it didnt show sympthoms of illness or getting beaten up from other tank mates. My IT was eating all the time and is healthy. I been doing regular weekly water change and my tank has two filtration systems. There were no signs of stress or color change on his scales. The only thing i notice is it looks like its breathing more rapidly than my other dats. RIP my IT
Heres a pic in memory of my first IT

Sorry to hear bro :(
Seems you were doing everything right, but it also seems that fish just die for no reason we can control. Time for a new dat ;)

from the pic, it luks like it's dead from over feeding. one of my baby indo died the 3rd day i got 'em. these little guys don't know when to stop, they'll stuff themselves to death. also, u can check ur water for ammonia & nitrite level.

hey...TRYLETEG, guess wut, u have passed the bad luck to me...j/k. but freakin one of my baby indo 1.5" died today... T_T i have no idea why though...i fed him and the other babies the usual amount of food, but somehow he just died. so i guess it's not because of over feed.

if anyone can tell the reason from the pix, maybe my other 3 indo have a shot @ grow into adult size...so, help!!!!http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/member.php?u=19174

Theres a really nasty looking bulge in his stomach. Looks like something might be lodged in their. Another thing is the rapid breathing. Gill disease/parasites or lack of aeration in the water is usually the problem. Check for swollen or bulging gill plates or redness. For some reason a lot of peoples dats get this or experience Heavy breathing. Its normal to me.
