Okay so here's my situation. A friend of my roommate is trying to get rid of a 125 gallon glass tank and stand. How much should I offer them? I currently have a 55 gallon with 2 red ear slider and a 40 gallon with 1 red ear slider. I plan on putting the two larger turtles in the 125 and putting the smaller in the 55. I don't know if these people know too much about costs and what not. And i think its just for the tank and stand. What should i offer them?

Thanks alot!

id start at a buck a gallon with stand. Thats just me though.

go cheap and hope for the best if hes RALLY a friend ask him what he wants for it ....1$ and gallon is about rite for where i am on used tanks thow a extra 20 -40 for the stand

A new 125 is around $350 to $400. A new stand would be about $200 to $250. DIY stand would be around $100.

Being used obviously takes down how much it is worth. If it is excellent shape, I would go to $250 as a max. It's hard to find tanks in my area that are over 55 gallons, so that is probably the reason I would pay more than others :)

Yup, values are pretty relative. In my area that tank would bring 350 all day long, if not more, depending on accessories. :irked:
