well been looking for one of these for awhile and got a mastercard and visa for xmas from my brother with cash on it so i used it for some fish stuff and i grabbed this silver aro he's about 6-8" has some orange on his fins, and in certian lights you can see blueish green tinge i his scales... looks cool :) is he somethign special or a regular silver arowana ? scored him for 40 bucks i think it was a good deal for down here IMO here is a video of him you can see his colour a bit but it hard to tell in this lighting .. and wow look at that flow and water aggitation on the surface :D lol

wow, photo bucket really degrades a video ... maybe i try uploading the copy to youtube since i have HD on my gopro :)

thanks man, and ya actually i have another severum too both were the size of a canadian dime or nickel and have grown to this size within few months or so they grew VERY fast.... ya can see my little ocellaris bass in the one side he camera shy lol, have him sectioned off so he dont get ate by any other fish.... hopefully he grows much faster now that i found some food he actuall likes and eats lol

That's rad man, love your setup! Is that a pool pump? Couldn't tell and does it have a dechlor doser or a carbon cartridge, sorry to derail from the topic!

nope not a pump at all, it just a housing that contains a LARGE dechlorinater filter some people have them on there house water system, it suppose to dechlorinate the water previous owner said he NEVER used any water conditioner when he used this unit me, i dont trust it 100% so i use safe anyway... but basically my python that hooked to my sink and then the end that would go in the tank just goes on the inlet of the canister and turn the water on and away you go sit back and watch her fill up :)

i also looked into getting a nitrate filter for it too but couldnt find one of the proper size unless i bought a entire canister which comes with the filter as well, but also found out and read in order to filter of nitrates or phosphates from any water it has to be a SLOW process 20-30gph which our tap water is faster, so it would likely work but it wouldnt work to it full potential of 100% running water through it faster then what people are recommending it to be... but ya never who knows... i like it and make fill my tank a sinch

Nice pick up. He us just a reg silver
