Salvini

You can see he was pretty bashed up. The black is the new fin growth, but he's only been in the tank 4 days and is recovering nicely. Got rid of my Cuban he was lip locking with and have as a stock now:

Salvini 4"
Loiselli? 4"
Pictus Cats (x6)
Diamond Tetras (x15)
Rubber Lipped Plecos (x2)

Yes I figure the Tetras will be a snack later, but it will take him a while to build up to that. So Loiselli or Freddie? What sex if possible to tell yet?

Tank is 135 gallon 72" with Whisper 60, Emperor 350, and Magnum 350 canister.

Any suggestions as far as stock? I had another thread but totally changed stock so we will start over. Thanks guys!

congrats on the pickup! My vote is Loisellei and not sure of the sex due to the finnage being shot out. As far as stocking goes, you may want to add another medisum sized cihlid.ive never had luck with 2 cichlids in a tank regardless of tanksize. Seems like with 2, they are always punking each other. With 3, the aggression is more diverted between them.....

good luck with the new fish!

I think the third might take a bit of trial an error. Loisellei are some of the smaller parachromis(12") and salvinis dont get too large, but have plenty of tude. I'd maybe try a GT or Blue acara, but you never know. i just had to get rid of a male firemouth because he was constantly chasing my GT, Freddy and Festae. Go figure

oops....just noticed you said CA. Honduran red points for smaller fish or maybe.......hmmmm

Would love to, but how much and would you meet me in the middle? 5 hour drive one way...

LoL I'll sell him for $33....that's what the LFS offered me. Meeting in the middle is a no go lol. Or wait, how's the river this time of year, maybe I could make a trip hehehe.
