My first planted tank: what is this???

Hi everybody! My name is Lucas, and this is my first thread on mfk!
I have a question about what this fish is. My friends gave it to me, I have about 6 of them, and they didn't know what it was either (it was in their goldfish pond.) maybe it's some type of goldfish or carp? Will add pics.

If you plan on keeping them you'll need a pond of your own very soon. Goldfish get very big very quickly and with good care six of them will need either their own pond or an extremely large tank before you know it.

Also, depending on what plants you have the goldfish will likely eat them or at least try to. They're also likely to uproot any plants you have in the gravel as they love to dig.

Ok, thanks. I have some more obvious goldfish in the tank, and I'm gonna build a pond for them soon. I keep better fish than goldfish, I'm not new to aquariums, I just had no idea what they were. I KNEW they were some kind of carp though

I'd assume those ones are quite young, most of them should colour up soon and start looking like the goldfish in the petshops. Mine started getting colour between 1-4cm.
