My first poly :)

I picked this guy up at my LFS about a month ago. It was a drop off. The people dropping him off said they had him for 8 years but he got too big for their tank. When I got him home I measured him at 10". I would have expected an eight year old senegalus to be bigger, am I correct? He seems healthy, eats pellets fine, and he seems really happy. Would adding another poly be a bad idea? The tank he is in is a 75 gallon but can be moved to a 150 gallon. I really love the ornate but I don't know much about them.

nice senegalus! those CL's are awesome, they look pretty big. i just lost 22 CL's last month almost my whole tank actually, all but 3 fish. 1 12 "ornate bichir, 1 red head vieja, and 1 baby jag. water parameters were all fine so i have no idea what happened.

I have an ornate in with my senagal. Four months ago my senagal was 7" and the ornate was only 5". Now the senagal is still about 7" but the ornate is very close to 10". They get along pretty good. No real issues. Polys have quickly become my favorite.
