ok i decided to go prehistoric. the first pic is the tank the way it was. the rest are after i removed that crap and put pool sand in and some driftwood. ive had the bowfin and ornate for quite awile and recently picked up a endi hes in a growout tank. ive got some other species on the way should be large enough to add when i get them. the species include delheze, weeksii, palmus.b so these pics are half way through my final project on this particular tank. i still want to find a brown rocky backround and get the other bichirs in there and then it will be done. let me know what you think?

Cool, the bowfin looks prehistoric....like an american version of a bichir lol.
indeed bowfin are prehistoric and i think your right, they do look like a american version of bichir or a hybrid between bichir and snakehead. haha

i think you may catch them in missouri. i know the bass pro shop had a couple that ended up being gar food.:)

bowfins seem to be really popular now, nice decorating btw
