hello everyone!
first of all im new hear, and i want to ask how many rbp i can put in a 40 gal aquarium?
and do i need an air stone?
and a powerhead wil be better in a rbp aquarium?
im new in the piranha business so if you could tell me all the information i need to start it will be best!

wuz up bro, jst want to share what i learned, well in a 40g u can put like 6 juvenile if you want them to grow fast but you will need a much more bigger tank. Powerhead is a must coz this cuties really like fast water, well my p's are hehe.
 
welcome to MFK! 2 answer some of your questions...

2 RBP's will fit in a 40g. (if you follow the 20g rule per fish) you can fit more in there depending on the size of your p's but you will have to upgrade to a bigger tank very soon cuz they will grow pretty fast. Also 2 p's isn't a very good number (3 is better but they won't be hapy in a 40g).

You don't really need the air stone but you can if u want it's your preference. A powerhead is a good idea cuz p's like current, just remember to leave a dead spot in the tank so they don't have to fight the current all the time. As for filtration...you atleast want 10 X gph turnover for your tank since p's are very messy eaters for example: 40g tank = 1 emperor 400..but the more filtration the better (over filtration is a good thing). Other than that...keep your p's on a good diet, do weekly water changes, check your water params weekly and your p's will take care of the rest. If you need anymore advance advice....u should ask JoeDizzleMPLS or koop171 (those 2 guys know a lot about p's). Good luck!

right now i have 2 aquaruims in my house (40 gal & 106 gal) but i wanna replace the 3 osker i have with a p's so cuz im new in the p's i'll probebly will need a lot of help!
meanwhile abouy filtration well i have a big filter so about that i dont worry i just dont want them to fell stress cuz i dont have al lot off spice now=\
so u said that a 4 p's will be best?
they wont bite me becuse off lake of spice?
and they wont bite tumbs like the ones from the filter?
 
if you're planning on moving them into the larger tank, you could start with 4 or 5 juvie natts in the 40 gal, but they will outgrow that tank pretty quickly.

you won't have to worry too much about them biting you, they'll try their best to avoid you when you go messing around in their tank, the chances of them biting you are pretty slim, but that doesn't mean that you don't need to be careful.
 
you can get a few juvis but not for long
you might wana update to a 75 or 55 atleast
but a 40s a start
