Hey guys it's been awhile since I have posted anything on MFK but I thought I would share this story with all of you. The other day I sold one of my old fixer-upper fish tanks on craigslist since I did not have time to mess with it anymore. When my buddy and I got there and dropped it off we started talking about fish for a little while and then the conversation switched over to reptiles. When my buddy started talking about his snakes the guy asked if we wanted to see some of his. So he brought out an 09 pastel ball python and he looked terrible. He looked like he hadn't eaten in months. Hie was half way through a bad shed that he clearly wasn't having a good time with. So I asked to see his set up and he was just in a ten gallon glass tank, the heat pad and light were not plugged in, there was almost no water in his bowl, there was no substrate on the ground so he was crawling through his own dead skin and poop. My heart sank so I told him I'd knock a couple bucks off the tank if I could take him. The guy was all for it since he did not have time for him anymore, which really showed. So I got him home, gave him a nice little meal and cleaned out his cage real good. His name is Set, after the snake god in Conan the Barbarian. He's one of the most beautiful snakes I have ever seen.
