i bought my first salvini yesterday. hes only 3/4 of an inch so i was kind of worried about putting him in with my 4 1/2 in. gt and 4in frontosa. hes buddies with a 1/2 in. frontosa, 1in gt, but could care less about my baby jag so he killed it. every time the big gt tries to put everybody in check the salvini mimics him and tries to push the little guys around. this little guy is fearless and actually prefers to hang out with the bigger fish. right now hes silver with a red tint starting in the fins. when do they turn that brilliant yellow?

It takes a while for them to turn yellow, but can't remember how long or how big. The one I had started out brown (pretty ugly) and turned into this:
