MY FIRST SOLAR JOB!!!

After a bunch of paper work I finally get to start my first solar project!!

Ill be keeping a journal of this job with pictures as progress is made!! This is going to be great input for me,being a electrian isnt that bad, it has its moments when I really enjoy it!!! Ill rather be fishing but this is what has been paying the bills for the last five years.

Today my boss and I built are own sonotubes cause nobody has 3" tubes in stock. I wanted to use 3" corrugated pipe but when you have a boss thats 72 years old its hard to break his old way of doing things but it was 600 cheaper to build are own. Today I got three done with two more to make tomorrow. Its a very small company I work for its just me and one co-worker, we are the "A-Team"!!!

Today we finished the last two sonotubes, got a steel delivery, and had the backhoe guy there. Everything was going pretty smooth until his backhoe broke down , so we didnt get the trench done, instead we cut and drilled the steel. Thats my friend/co-worker in the pics together we are the "A-team"

The rest of the week was pretty fun!!

One day we had Sandy's family come out when the cement truck came, since then we hang and wired all the electricial components. The punch list goes as, build the array, wire it and hit the switch. Were thinking 2-3 more days!!!

On Thursday my boy Dennis gave us a hand hanging some equipment and installing the 4" steel pipe!!! Just alittle history,in the second pic is my boss, he took me right out of school and gave me a chance, and i've been here ever since!!!
