Hi I'm new to the stingray forum. I just sold all my big cichla and got 2 young male motoro's. I'll be getting 3 or 4 rtg arowana soon to go with them.

I've really fallen in love with rays, they are amazing. I love how they glide across the bottom of the tank and with some aro's gliding around the top it's gonna be amazing.

I just fed them for the first time last night and was happy to find they are eating hikari gold sinking pellets. How quickly do they grow? They are 5-6" at the moment, I can't wait till they hit the 12" mark.

Here's some pics

Nice additions. I would love to know what you are using for substrate.

Little crackers! You'll love them :) you still got any cichla?

I do love them. Nothing like anything I've kept before. I still have cichla. I have some around 6" with the rays, one kelberi, one orinocensis and one pinima. I've also got 8 baby orino's growing our in a 55g.

The substrate is Unipac Limpopo black sand. I love this sand. It is almost like a super fine gravel and has enough weight to not get wafted all round the tank and in the filters.

Hey I didn't know you were on MFK. It will be easier to keep you updated now. Thanks again for sorting me out with these rays.
Have you had a good feeding show from the peacock bass yet?
