My first tank ever. I'm a :newbie: so please be nice.
I am still trying to get it to cycle properly.

It has a few guppies and black mollies for the cycle, who have incidentally bred. This is my learning tank, and I have gotten attached to the fish, who are for the most part doing well.

Next (4-6 months down the road) I will get a 55 - 75 gallon tank in which I will dedicate to dwarf Cichlids; convicts, blue rams etc.

After that will come my Arowana tank. That is, after all, why I am here, at MFK! I have always loved the silver and black/blue South American Arowanas. I think that tank will be a 8x3x2 (LxWxH). <--- Still a dream, hopefully a reality in a few years.

Well here is my tank, please excuse the picture quality, I took it with my ancient camera.

So, I'm not sure why this got moved here. I was trying to post in the thread where people posted pics of their planted tanks.

Maybe because I had the phrase "My first tank" in my post?

Nice setup mate, pretty good for a first tank :D

Very nice setup for a first tank! Far more impressive than my little betta bowl! :D

Paint the outside back of your tank black.

agreed. a black or blue background would look nice on the tank.

yuup, i have black and love it!
awesome setup!
i too have a 30 gallon for my first tank... and bought those neon tetras... then a 2.5" jack dempsey.. no more tetras.. lol
good luck with your bigger tanks!

im trying to buy a 100 gallon ( 60"L x 18"W x 23") and trade for a 150 gallon (48Lx24dx30H) i prefer a tall tank!
