FullSizeRender.jpg IMG_6096.JPG IMG_6126.JPG IMG_6225.PNG Hello all! A friend got me hooked on this hobby a few years ago. I started with Africans from my LFS because of all of their color variety's. I learned allot in the first year including breeding them using tumblers. My girlfriend and I had a child and I had to focus most of my attention on them when he was a newborn. Fast forward two years and I am now starting a new tank. I set up a new 75 grow out with a Fluval 406 canister. I have added a Silver Arowana 8", Jack Dempsey 5", Clown Knife 5" and a Festae 4". I plan on adding a Red Texas and possibly a gar in the future. The aggression seems low at this point. I feed them 3 times a day, a combination of crickets, meal worms, earthworms and small feeder fish but I change it up every time. I have been trying pellet food but they don't seem to like it yet. I vacuum the waste out every other day and water changes once a week. They seem to be doing very well. I will be acquiring a large tank by the end of the year to move my new guys too. I'm always on the lookout for the person that wants to dump a great large tank lol. I'm hoping to move into a 180 long or a nice 220. Thanks for tanking a peek at my first post!

I would not mix those cichlids with an Arowana or Clown Knife. Just a bad match IMHO, you could either keep the Clown Knife and Arowana and upgrade to a 240+ gallon tank or keep the Jack and Festa and add Silver Dollars or Tinfoil Barbs. But I recommend not to keep them together.

you arowana have some pretty damaged fins as well as you festae. I think you have aggression issues already. Like other said I doubt this will work out long term without some really beat up fish. Possible dead fish too.

Do what you want with the advice but be prepared for the worse and hope for the best.

I got this Aro from a kid, he was all stressed out. In this pic he was about 6" and has grown another few since I got him in mid April. I didn'IMG_6228.JPG t realize that I posted a pic from when I first got him.

IMG_6291.PNG I will be moving up in tank size for sure, in time I'm sure I will have multiple large tanks. The Festae was from a mixed tank of large aggressive cichlids. This pic is from when brought it home. He is looking better at this point.
