I believe that I saw a jade goby in the background of the first photo, but that's all that I noticed for the tankmates. The Florida gar that I used to have got along great with the pair of jade gobies that I had for a little while (until one goby murdered the other during a water change; went to get another bucket from another room and found the poor thing without a head when I got back).
Tankmates include a small convict, 2 small jags, and a rainbow wolf fish. I think i bought too small. So the money i make selling him will go towards a bigger one when found
believe it or not, but i have a sub adult florida gar. It is currently in a tank with A quite large oscar, some bichir's, and even a silver perch is co-exisiting with it. I dont know how or why he hasent ate it. Anyhow the perch has been alive in there now for about a month now. Has decent little hiding spots.
i have a 14-15" florida with 9 bichirs, a channel cat, a green terror, and a handful of clownloaches. Noone bothers him, and he eats pellets off the bottom along with everyone else. He is missing a fin (nemo style) but has been okay without it for over a year.
