My fish are dropping like flies!!

what is going on? i have everything well maintained i have a 20 gallon tank with african chiclids and im waking up to a dead fish almost every other day. i see white crystals on the fish and im afraid its ick. i have already put ick treatment but i see no improvment, someone have any ideas?:confused:

How many africans in the tank? A 20 is really small for africans, unless they are shelldwellers. How big are they? What are your water parameters? Temp? If they are dying off, what you're seeing is "most likely" ich. Pics?
 
they're generally small chiclids. the biggest one is about 3 inches. water temp is usually 74-76. ill get some pics soon.
 
there were about 7 now there are 4. my ph lvl is about 7 and ammonia and nitrite and nitrate im not too sure about . my tank is fairly recent. just about a month old.
 
Looks like your tank is cycling. You need to get a test kit to measure amm, nitri, nitra. My guess is right now one of the first two are spiked. Too many fish too soon.
 
If it's a month old, does that mean you put the fish in a month ago after the new tank had finish cycling? Or did you start the tank by putting water and the fish at the same time a month ago?

i put the fish in about 3 weeks ago, i had a couple of tropical fish in there, but decided to switch to african chiclid. so i gave my tropicals away, and put the chiclids in there.
