well here is a interesting dilema

it seems that spring fever has hit my fish hard I can not get them to stop making babies ahahhahahah, even my fish without a mate are getting busy.

Up to this point i just been leaving the fry to fare for themselves and most get eaten.

So I thought I would start a thread for this .

I need an id on this female so I can possibly hunt down a male for her, I took her outta a dudes 55g and put her in this 140g and she been acting real motherly in a cichlid sort of way, well today I look in my tank an see this.

any help with id would be appreciated as i should like to find her a male

If breeding tubes were sixguns my restaurant would be called boot hill, everyone of my tanks has fish dropping tubes like they were greased pigs>

I've seen these before but my brain is drawing a blank as to the species. I keep thinking Emerald.. but that doesn't help much. and is likely wrong. Saw the pictures this morning and been bugging me since. Pretty sure she's she's not an African though.

Its probably a vieja bifasciatus or a hybrid of a vieja, it's CA.
