MY FISH DREAM FADING AWAY???

ok so bad news..well for me anyways....i just got canned from my job at the lfs that i worked for...buisness not doing so hot so they are shutting down.....anyways ..this was the reason that i got into the hobby because of this store....beside tha fact that i got all the equipment and all aquarium stuff for half off i will no longer be able to get it at that price...luckily for me i just finished decorating and gettin everything i need a few weeks ago b4 i knew this was going to happen....

do you guys think i can still manage???all i would need to buy now is the replacement filter pads.....other than that im preety stocked up....anyother suggestions??:(
 
filter pads? you can buy quilt batting from walmart or a craft store(make sure it has no scent) and its about 5 dollars for a huge roll
 
Buy padding for the filter pads.

Sounds cheap, but i know how things can get so if you need food for your fish digging up some earth worms keeps em fed and is free. As for the filter i know what you mean, its hard to be in this hobby with no job and hardly any money. Sorry bout the job :(
 
I'm sorry to hear that man. I hope you find another job soon. And for the filter pads look around for diffrent suppliers like petsolutions or Dr. Foster and Smith they sometimes have them on sale
 
thanks guys...yea its a big bummer....all i needed was that about the filer pads....will do...i have enough food for 2 years.....i dont want to loose my fish....im just on my grind trying to find a new job......if anyone wants an airbrushed shirt or anything artistic let me know....i do airbrushing and any freelance art.......maybe a cool background for your fish tank??? lol

keep the tank.. if u give it up, you will regret it and you may not have a chance to get it back.. you put all those money into it.. so keep it.. filter pad should be cheap.. you can always clean the pad haha to save money.. if not just go to petsmart or something and they the bnlue padding.. it like 7 buck.. i had it for almost 2 year now and i still have it.. im down to half a sheet left now.. but it works haha.. DONT SELL OR GET RID OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP IT =)
