I was going to wait some more and let a bunch of newbie’s fall for the oldest trick in the book BUT I got guppy so that is good enough for me. Fish cant drown! :p

That is where you are wrong my friend.....

Bichirs can drown......I had a Culvier Polly, it was only about 5" and it tried to eat a feeder that was too big for him....It got cought in his mouth and he was unable to get to the surface for air....We found him the next day with the goldfish sticking out of his mouth!

Fish can drown, as in suffocate under water.
 
Technically fish can drown. Labrynith fish are the most likley canidates as well as other air "gulpers".

I watched a documantry on sharks that discussed sharks drowning from improper handling while in transport. The old belief that sharks must be in constant motion or the will die....people would catch them and put them in containers that had fast moving water running thru the container to simulate movment and the sharks were drowning from it.
