The other day i had one of my piranhas go full speed into the lid of my tank an it seemed like he was having a seizure:WHOA: after or something jus twitching and stuff like that. Later on he died, now today one of my chiclids in my other tanks did the same thing. Does anyone know what would cause this?

check you temperature water piramiters if u can quickly if not do a quick water change 20-25% so u don't shock the fish while u get your piramiters checked your temperature should at least be 20% Celsius for a piranha but it's better to keep it higher like 21-30% Celsius. do they have any decor or something to hide behind when frightened? and how big is your tank?

check your tanks for electrical currents, you can do this with a volt meter. Place one probe in the tank water, and the other to the ground of a receptical, make sure you do all this while everything that is normally on is on. You may have a voltage leak in the tank. This causes stress, and can cause fish to freak out.

Fish often will try and jump out of a tank the are uncomfortable in. Since it happened to two different genus, I'd think there was a problem and systematically go through everything until found.

^huh?^

What did you come up with? Assuming that all of your parameters were in check- the only thing that I would imagine that would cause something this drastic would be what dr_sudZ suggested- electrical current in the tank.
