My fish had slipped through the divider. (Loose skin/scale)

My fish, a Jaguar cichlid managed to slip it's way through the other side of the divider (Oscar territory) just a few minutes ago and are now separated in their own tanks. The Jaguar now has a tiny piece of lose skin/scale hanging under it's lip from the fight. I was wondering if that little loose skin/scale will naturally fall off on it's own or will it stay there forever as it heals? I've tried searching around and can't find an exact answer nor question about this.

It will peel of and heal up. Minor stuff, I had a jardini get spooked and the tip of his bottom lip ripped almost completely through. Took a few days for it to fall off and heal.

That's nothing. Should heal 100% just fine. A little bit of salt in the water wouldn't hurt.
