I have a small red cap oranda goldfish, and all of a sudden i noticed that she has lost a scale, and in place of the scale, there is a small red spot. none of the other fish in my tank have any spots, red or otherwise, she seems to be acting normally, anyone know what it could be?

to MFK!What are the water parameters? Tank size and tankmates? What decorations do you have? What do you feed your fish? What is your maintenance routine? Pics will also hugely help.
PH is about 7 to 7.2 no ammonia or nitrites/ates , the tank is a 29 gallon, i have two other goldfish, two kissing gouramis, a pleco, and a pictus catfish. there are some live and some fake plants. the goldfish eat Topfin pellets and some flakes, plus some fresh veggies occasionally, spinach and steamed zuccini. i do water changes only every two to three weeks, unless the ammonia or something is off. im sorry but when i took pictures of her, the spot wasnt visible.
