My Fish... I.D.?

I am a cichlid lover. My fish are in small tanks i know. But i do many water changes and give them good diets. The first fish was sold to me as a fry. Iwas told it was a red devil. I am not quite sure it is one. I have had it for a bout two months. My next fish is a Texas i think he has good color. DO u? I am getting these fish a nice big 125 gallon. in the next month. They will be accompanied by a Flowerhorn which i have and is still a fry. I got it for 25 cents. And a few catfish. here are some pics.

i would say the first fish is a Midas, the colouration is sometimes called "Barred" ( Barred Midas cichlid) in the U.K. the second fish is definatly a texas, nice pair ya got there!!

thanks. ya my dad has been askin me cauz it didnt look like a red devil. i told him i thought it was a barred midas

I agree, the first looks like a baby barred, and the second is definately some form of texas, I think a cyanaguttatal (or however the hell its spelled) as opposed to carpinte.

ya i wa sure that it was that kind of texas. just really wanted to know bought the barred
its a lot darker now and the bars are really dark
