My fish loses his flower line.

Dear Friends,
My flowerhorn had strong and evident flower line on his body and also flower on head while it was 8 – 15 cm long. After he has grown up and became approximately 30 cm unfortunately he has lost his flower on his head and the flower line on the body became very pale. But his pearls are increased and red colour became more dominant. More pears is good but losing his flowers is worrying. Please inform me about the reasons of this situation.

It's not unusual for adult fish's colors to fade as they age. Might try experimenting with color enhancing commercial foods as well as frozen bloodworms.
