My fish tank utilities cost?

Ok so I have two tanks a 55 and a 65 gallon. They both have an emperor 400 filters and one has an aquaclear 400 also. Both have 200w heaters.

What I am trying to figure out is how much electric am I using a month. I have figured out the lights already.

Search for something called a 'Kill A Watt Meter' on google or amazon. I think I got mine off of Ebay, but I'm thinking Home Depot or Lowes should carry them. Plug it in, then plug in the appliance you're wanting to check. Follow the formula in the instructions and it will tell you how much per hour that piece costs to run. I got one and went through my whole house. You'd be suprised how much leaving a flat screen tv plugged in and OFF still costs.

Thats true about plasma and lcd tvs. i have a timer on my lcd tv in my bedroom. its on from 8pm to 12pm only.
