my fish tank's grown!!!!!

I was sat in my fish room earlier admiring my 300g tank. I've got a 180g in another room and I thought to myself how much much bigger looking my 300g was compared to my 180g. In fact I reckoned that it must be bigger than 300g so I did the calculations thinking that the supplier of my 300g may have got their sums wrong. It came up as 300g (uk), but 360g (us). So I put in the dimensions of my 6x2x2 and it came up as 149g (uk) and 180g (us). Now a standard 6x2x2 is universally referred to as a 180g in the hobby so i'm taking it that the US gallon figure is the accepted standard throughout the hobby, and that my uk figures are rubbish?

This would be great news because I would then be the much prouder owner of a 360g tank. Get in.

That figures. Here in the states youre lucky if they don't skimp on the glass and build you a smaller tank than you ordered.

We use US gallons in North America. Good for you on getting a bigger setup
