Its my red zebra, he was fine one day, I come home and now he swims oddly. He acts normal, but when he swims he wont use his back tail fin w/e you wanna call it.... it looks no so spread out anymore... and he's the mean one of the tank - no one picks on him and he doesnt looked nipped at soooo.... I dont know whats up with him?? anyone know or have this problem before?? He's eating normal and doesnt seem very bothered... he just swims at the bottom now.... I put him in a hospital tank for now...

not fin rot, that wouldn't prevent the fish from swimming properly. Might be that he's getting picked on when the lights go off. Maybe a sub dominate male wants his turn to be #1 on the ladder.
but thats odd, he beats everyone up.... and his tail doesnt look like anyone nipped or bit at it.... ?? he just wont use it. He's the biggest fish in the tank =) although I dont know what goes on when the lights go out. He still swims funny but other then that he's doing just fine. Its weird. he can swim at the bottom but if he tries to go up then he starts swimming like he's gonna die, then when he goes back down to the bottom...he's fine. he's in a sperate tank by himself now.
yeah, thats pretty weird. How long do you plan on keeping him seperated from the others. He's gonna have to fight his way back to the top of the pecking order.
