Hello everyone, this is my first post here. but certianly not my first visit. I have kept fish since I was 7 yrs old. I started out withneon tetras and koolie loaches. until I saw a tricolor shark. At the time that was the coolest fish I had ever seen. I bought it but things soon went downhill from there. turns out that I knew nothing about fishkeeping and I didn't know where to turn. my fish soon died. I gave up on fishkeeping.

Years later I tried again this time, reading up on things and doing my research. though the only thing I kept was bettas. At one point I had only one in a ten gollon tank.I named him phantom. he lived for five years and got so big he ate small crickets. around that time I got a job at a pet store, I had much mure experience working with fish then.In fact they were my specialty. My first true exotic was a black ghost. I got him from the store I worked at. He came in that night, the tank he was put in there was a large silver dollar in it. It tore the ghosts right pectoral fin off. I took him home anyway, and put him in my ten gallon tank.

He grew very fast, and I soon needed a 60 gallon.Sadly though soon after I moved him his heart gave out:cry:. I then got a bala shark, bumblebee catfish, pleco, dragon fish, and another ghost. the ghost didn't fair as well. it refused to eat and soon died. I tried yet agian, that one was gutted by my catfish... around that time I had no longer wanted another ghost, realizing that none would be like my first(Spooky).

A wile after quitting my job, having to move I had to look at houses. I came back to the store, for filters or something of the like. I saw something that caught my eye... a label on the tank that read Wolf Fish. Quickly I scanned the tank to see if it had sold,it didn't. But it was in sad shape, it/he had a fungus on his head, and scarring from the other fish in there. I played the sucker card once again and gambled. spending a high price on a fish that will most likly die anyway.
I put him in the 60 gallon, along with the others. all was fine but he didn't eat. At the store the fish were only fed flakes...that's why, the poor thing didn't even know what real meat was. He soon learned though, and fully recovered.
He is now the only fish in the tank, and is growing fast...
