my flower horn changes eye color

sometimes his eyes turn red. sometimes it turns yellow. why so?

mine does that to

when the tank lights and room light have been off for awhile he goes into a hypnothic state of sleep

and his colors arent as bright and his eyes are yellowish clear

mine does that when he gets pissed...his eyes turn red when mad otherwise normally yellow.

well definitely its just normal like our flower horns here when daytime their eyes are ruby in color when noontime blood red in color when nightime their eyes get to be white after a minute turn into blue after 5-10minutes became violet then after a minute again turn to purple. the purple eye color is the last stage of changing color of their eyes. I don't know in your flowerhorns but ours always act like that.
