Well, have you seen your flowerhorn laid any eggs anywhere that you may have been aware of? I still have a lot of hope with that flowerhorn being a female still even if it never laid any eggs at this point. The reason is because some females never lay eggs at all unless there is a male presented to her - and not all females will lay eggs even if there is a male presented to her. Kind of like a game of rolling dice here we can say...
As far as what I meant by "I really dig the tail" means that I really like the tail structure. It's perfectly fanned out and moderately strong. Flowerhorns stop growing their hump at 2 years(sometimes 3 years - it slows down at 1.5 years), but their thickness and coloration still have room to grow out some more. If I can remember correctly, they don't fully stop growing until the age of 4-5 years. So in this case, yes it's possible that your flowerhorn may get much more beautiful as time goes on(but it doesn't guarantee anything - be aware of that). We'll just have to wait and see...
