My Flowerhorn

Heres my flowerhorn. I've been doing my research but I am still relatively new to keeping these fish. He/She is very camera shy. When there is not a lot of commotion in the room the red that the fish turns is unbelievable. I have a few questions though...

1. Is it possible to sex with these pictures? ( male or female)
2. Why so few markings? I know its genetics but is it a lower quality fish? more rare? I have no idea.

Ya it does look like a female but the fish needs vented to be 100% sure. The quality as far as FH go is low but as the above poster said if you like the fish then that is what is important.

Its a female. It looks stressed. Some FH have more markings than others, some have no markings at all. If you like, that's what matters

Her beauty will come out in the months that follow. It may take a year for her to reach her full beauty potential. FH are awesome specimens. I'm on my 2nd red dragon, and they are absolutely gorgegous!! My first one was a female, I now have a male. Change the gravel/plants/background and see what happens to her colors. You'd be surprised
